CBTA MERCHANDISE
CBTA currently have available a special release of the book produced by Chris Maron covering 100 years of achievement of the Canterbury Bankstown Tennis Association.
The book depicts the rich history of tennis and its growth within the boundaries of the association during the past ten decades and showcases the people who played the game, the officials and the achievements that have emerged during that period. Over the years, the Association has seen players including Harry Hopman and Tony Roche (who has twice been ranked #2 in the World) and a range of players selected in Australian Davis Cup teams including Bill Sidwell, George Worthington, Bob Giltinan, John Cottrill and Phil Dent.
Tennis itself has changed enormously over the 100 year period, facing many challenges, as have the people who play the game within the Association's boundaries. Community members have embraced new or alternate sports in the community and tennis has taken on new forms, shorter time frames and varied timeslots. Today, we now look at catering for the current and future lifestyles people now lead and officials will market the game in a new and challenging way! The champions we can be proud of and the many challenges they faced over the past 100 years, are featured throughout the book, together with a large array of outstanding photographs capturing the game of tennis locally in a unique way!
100 years is a proud achievement and the current president of the CBTA, Roger Pitt, is immensely proud of this significant publication!
After purchase, collection may be arranged through contacting [email protected].
It is a must read and it is a unique addition to your own special library. Copies will not last long, so order early to avoid disappointment!
