NSW Hardcourt Interdistrict COMPETITION 2024

WHAT IS INTERDISTRICT COMPETITION?

Inter District is a Tennis competition where you are picked to represent your district -
Canterbury Bankstown Tennis Association. Please Note: Players must either play our SJTT competition or our Junior Age Tournament in order to qualify to represent our association in the Interdistrict Competition. This year Interdistrict representation is also required for players to qualify for Nationals. What is Interdistrict?? • Players are graded according to ability and normally play in age group (10 yrs, 12 yrs, 14 yrs, 16 yrs, 18yrs boys or girls and Open Mens and Womens divisions). Age is at 30th September. • CBTA play against other tennis associations in the greater Metropolitan area on a Sunday afternoon, from 12 noon to about 4 pm. • It is for a period of approx. seven weeks in Term 3 (school term). Generally starts in July every year). • 3 players are required each week, so teams of 4 team is best to have a reserve. • Half the games are at “home” at Panania Tennis Centre and the other half are “away”, so your team needs to travel to other regions to play against the opposition in your division. • When your team is “home” you need to bring 2 plates of food to share with your opposition in the clubhouse. • Successful teams play off in semis and finals and there are trophies and individual prizes in each division. • UTR and trial days are used in order to grade players. • Parents and players are encouraged to submit the Expressions of Interest Form or send in an email to [email protected], so that their child may be considered for one of our teams. Please include interested players name and date of birth. • A CBTA uniform shirt is compulsary and will need to be purchased if you are selected to represent and be in a team. |

The dates for STL Hardcourt Interdistrict Competition 2024 are:
Juniors and Opens: July 28th- 8th September (no play on fathers day) followed by Semi- finals on 15th September and Finals on the 22nd September.
All round matches commence at 12.15pm. The starting time for finals will be 9am.
