CBTA COVID-19 UPDATE - January 2022
CBTA prioritises the health & safety of our tennis community and is following guidelines and precautionary actions from the Government and our governing body, Tennis Australia.
As such, we have developed the CBTA COVID-19 SAFE PLAN for the return to tennis
in Canterbury Bankstown. See below for further information.

CBTA managed venues at Deverall Park, Roger Bowman Tennis Centre, Panania, Coleman Park and Smith Park are OPEN for Court Hire and Coaching services!
New restrictions effective as of Midnight, Friday 30 July, restrict outdoor exercise to 5kms of the home, groups of 2 people and masks are now required.
This means for tennis in Canterbury Bankstown:
- Stay home unless absolutely necessary
- Exercise is permitted when staying in your local government area or within 5km from your home, please don't attend if outside area
- High levels of cleaning will be occurring at all centres daily
- When entering a venue check in via the Service NSW QR Code
- Casual court hire is to a maximum of 2 people per court for singles play only
- All coaching is private sessions or sessions of 2 people only
- Sharing or borrowing of equipment is currently not permitted
- Choose to book online or make payment via cashless methods
- Sanitiser is available, please use upon entering/exiting venues
- Social distancing is required of 1.5m even outdoors
- In Canterbury Bankstown Masks must be worn in all settings when leaving the home including outdoor exercise. Masks must be carried at all times including during vigorous exercise.
- Masks must be worn in all indoor spaces and the 4 square metre rule for room capacity observed. This includes amenities.
ALL CBTA Inter-club competition is suspended until further notice. This includes Thursday Ladies Competition, Thursday Night Gents Competition, Saturday Afternoon Mixed Competition, Saturday Morning Junior Competition and Mid-Western Junior Competition.
STL Hardcourt Interdistrict Competition has been cancelled for 2021.
We ask all players, coaches and participants to stay up to date and comply with the Public Health Order and advice and stay safe!!
Please be aware that penalties and fines do apply for the non-compliance of NSW Government Public Health Orders and conditions of use.
CBTA will continue to provide the best service and experience in tennis we can during this time and provide essential updates on tennis in the region as they occur. We thank all our tennis community for their continued support and co-operation during this difficult time and encourage all to enjoy a healthy hit of tennis!
