PLACES TO PLAY - THE CBTA'S FIVE TENNIS CENTRES.
Welcome to the new head coach at Deverall Park, Mr Damien Latham, 0488900468 - Damien commenced at the beginning of Term 2, 2016.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING:  Considerable work has been undertaken by the Committee of CBTA, led by Dennis Nolan and Paul Burgess in bringing our very old Constitution up to date with modern practise.  Now, pursuant to Clause 35 of the current Constitution, notice is hereby given that a Special General Meeting will be held at the Panania Tennis Centre on Monday 27th June, 2016, commencing 7.45pm to consider and adopt a new Constitution.
A copy of the proposed Constitution is available here for downloading.
Only financial members of CBTA including Life Members may attend and vote.  Please note that a quorum of at least 15 members is required to be present and vote for the motion to be passed.  Adele English, General Secretary, May 23 2016.  Supper as usual will be served.

The CBTA appoints local members of Parliament as patrons of the Association each year at our AGM.  The Mayors for Bankstown and Canterbury are also automatic appointments as patrons.  We propose to appoint the Mayor and Deputy Mayors of the newly combined council of Canterbury Bankstown as future patrons at our AGM from 2017.
The CBTA always supports the current elected member of State and Federal Parliament, regardless of political affiliation.
We believe that is the appropriate way to deal with the political process in an unbiased way.
We have sincerely appreciated the enormous support of all elected members of Parliament for supporting our various grant applications over the past decade - Alan Ashton MP, State member for East Hills;  Glenn Brokes MP State Member for East Hills;  Barbara Parry MP for Auburn;  Tanya Mihailuk State Member for Bankstown;  Craig Kelly Federal Member for Hughes and David Coleman MP Federal MP for Banks and every holder of the position of the Mayors of Bankstown and Canterbury.

If you have a child or friend with a disability, it is important to know of anywhere you can get help and find activities for them.  We have been acquainted for some time with a great group, Recreation Sports and Athletic club as they run a group of tennis instruction in our area.  Read all about it here.  Visit their website, they offer some many more things socially to do and we hope to have more of their activities using our lovely Hot Shots courts in the future.

CBTA Championships will be on the weekend of 19/20 November - watch out for it.

Congratulations to the 5 teams selected to represent CBTA in the Interdistrict this year.  Good luck to all players!!!
