In the next few weeks, Bankstown Council and their authorised contractor will undertake the beautification of the excess soil left from the installation of the Hot Shots Courts at Panania. As you may know if you have lived in the area for some time, the site of the tennis, cricket and soccer was formally a garbage tip many decades ago. The excess soil has been thoroughly examined and will be treated carefully and in the appropriate manner.  It will be formed into a "grassy knoll' and then covered in the correct material to seal in any possible contaminates.  This knoll will then be covered in fresh new soil and grassed.  I have been told that the process should take approximately 10 days. There is no problem or danger - but to make absolutely sure, the Hot Shot courts will not be used until the process is completed.  Thanks to Glenn Brookes for funding the complete costs of the works. Thanks also to Bankstown Council and their contractors for providing the expertise to complete the job in a very professional manner. We look forward to the "new look" and a place to sit and watch kids and indeed everyone  learn to play tennis.   Adele English, General Secretary  97715665 (for any further enquiries)
