TNSW & NSW Hardcourt Interdistrict COMPETITION 2026
Representing your District CBTA across Sydney!
WHAT IS INTERDISTRICT COMPETITION?
|
Inter District is a Tennis competition where you are selected to represent your district -
Canterbury Bankstown Tennis Association (CBTA). To be eligible to represent CBTA, players must either reside in Canterbury Bankstown, attend CBTA operated facilities for regular coaching, play our Term Based SJTT competition or participate in an annual CBTA Tournament event within the selection year as well as meet competition requirements. Players can only nominate to a single district or representative team. Nomination to additional districts or teams will result in exclusion from the competition by the Interdistrict selection committee. Selection is a two-phase process. CBTA selected players are nominated to representative teams that are then presented to the Interdistrict selection committee. Selection by CBTA and submission to this process does not guarantee entry and selection by the Interdistrict selection committee to the competition. What is Interdistrict Competition?? • Players are graded according to ability and play in age group (10 yrs, 12 yrs, 14 yrs, 16 yrs, 18yrs boys or girls and Open Mens and Womens divisions). Age is at 30th September. • CBTA compete against other tennis associations and clubs in the greater Metropolitan area on a Sunday afternoon, from 12 noon to about 4 pm. • Competition runs for a period of approx. seven weeks in Term 3 (school term). Generally starts in July each year). • 3 players are required each week, so teams of 4 team is best to ensure an available reserve. • Half the matches are at “home” at Panania Tennis Centre and the other half are “away”, so your team does need to travel to other regions to play against the opposition in your division, this could include Newcastle or Wollongong. • When your team is “home” you are required to bring 2 plates of food to share with your opposition. Please present this each home match to the CBTA clubhouse. • Successful teams play off in semis and finals and there are trophies and individual prizes in each division. • UTR and trial days may be used in order to grade players. • Parents and/or players are encouraged to submit the Expressions of Interest Form, so that their child may be considered for one of our teams. Please include interested players name and date of birth. • A CBTA uniform shirt is compulsary and will need to be purchased if you are selected to represent and be in a team.
