The purpose of a Strategic Plan is to provide direction and key goals and actions of the organisation. For CBTA this document will outline CBTA functions, priorities, objectives and actions for improving the sport of tennis participation and infrastructure in Canterbury Bankstown to 2033.
The first stage of consultation was to engage with the CBTA committee and develop a purpose, vision and goals for the future of CBTA as an organisation and management body.
The second stage of consultation involved a short survey presented to our tennis community to find out what CBTA means to those involved. This 2022 survey was responded to by participants including players, family members, community members and tennis coaches or venue managers. 79.2% of respondents stated that CBTA to them was ‘local competitive sporting competition’ with ‘social activity’, ‘health and fitness’, ‘outdoors’ and providing ‘community connection’ all being important to survey participants. This demonstrates the importance of both competition offerings and social tennis and activities to our tennis community.
Utilising planning instruments from our key stakeholders and partners including City of Canterbury Bankstown and TNSW as well as feedback from our committee and our tennis community, our CBTA Senior Vice President has developed the below Draft Strategic Plan which aims to outline a 10 year Strategic Plan in which we now want your final feedback on what you want to see in your tennis community!
Feedback submissions will close on Monday 6 November 2023!
